How I work

As an Integrative counsellor I use a variety of counselling approaches which I adapt to meet your personal needs and situation. I work face to face and have experience working with adults and using Drawing and Talking Therapy with children and young adults.

In addition to my private practice I work for a local charity in Croydon, where I offer both long and short-term therapy. I am also a trained bereavement volunteer for Cruse, where I worked with adults, young people and children.

I usually work face to face but am able to offer Skype/Zoom/Telephone sessions  too.

Professional registration

I am a registered member of the BACP (the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) which is the leading body for counselling and psychotherapy in the UK. I adhere to their strict code of ethics and I have regular supervision. I attend relevant workshops, seminars and conferences as part of my continuing professional development.

Fully Alive

a poem by DAWNA MARKOVA

I will not die an unlived life.
I will not live in fear
of falling or catching fire.
I choose to inhabit my days,
to allow my living to open me,
to make me less afraid,
more accessible,
to loosen my heart
until it becomes a wing,
a torch, a promise.
I choose to risk my significance;
to live so that which came to me as seed
goes to the next as blossom
and that which came to me as blossom,
goes on as fruit.
